I am squigs, and this is my blog. But you knew that. Just to let you know a little bit about me: I am science buff. I like to talk about science and what it has in store for humanity, and despite what some may say, I do understand the Theory of Evolution. I am a reformed Baptist Creationist.

I am also a movie buff. I love to watch old classics, and then go and see what movies were inspired by that movie. I also like to read movie trivia and keep up with recent releases.

I’d give you my Top 10 movies, but that’s just ridiculous to have a Top 10 (or any “Top”) movie list. At least for me, because I’d have to fit 50 movies into my Top 10. Also my favorite movie is always changing. But at any given time, any of these might be my favorite: Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Dark Knight, the LOTR films, Star Wars, Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back, Jurassic Park, Gladiator, Iron Man, The Private Eyes, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Jaws, The Great Escape, The Magnificent Seven, Bullitt…and many more. I really can’t choose a favorite.

The Top 10 are the only movies I give 10/10 to (despite a blog post which I changed my mind about). The last 10 I give 9/10 to. Everything else I give 8s and below. 

I also enjoy reading. My favorite authors are Jules Verne, J. R. R. Tolkien, Jack London, Mark Twain, Arthur Conan Doyle and Oscar Wilde. My favorite book of all time is 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.

And the blog title: my fedora is my favorite piece of clothing, thus the reason for the name of the blog.
